I grew up on a farm in a small town in New London, NC. Marguerite is my lovely wife, and we met at Wingate University, where we were both involved with Campus Outreach, a college ministry
After graduating, I went on staff with Campus Outreach and served for three years as a Campus Director at Wingate University. In 2018 I was hired by Church of the Redeemer, a PCA church in NC. I earned my MA in Biblical Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte and was ordained as a minister in the PCA in 2022.
Also in 2022, Marguerite and I welcomed our first child, Eloise, into the world. She was born on the Ides of March (which is mildly concerning). Our son, Alden was born in 2023 on Labor Day. (So that has an entirely different meaning for us now!) And our third kiddo, Genevieve, was born in August 2025. We have also been fostering a large labradoodle which showed up at our house on International Dog Day in 2024.
My family moved to Arizona on New Year’s Day 2023. I serve here at New Valley team as an Associate Pastor, preaching regularly and helping to oversee Men’s Ministry. In addition to my role at New Valley, I am currently working on a ThM (Master of Theology) in Textual Criticism at Phoenix Seminary. (And yes––it is as nerdy as it sounds!)
