I studied business at ASU, thinking that I would go into sales and live a life of luxury. A summer of running my own business (door-to-door education sales in rural Wisconsin) rocked my world because I had never felt like such a failure before. I sprinted to the Lord. I understood for the first time the joy and freedom of placing my identity in Christ and that eternal life doesn’t begin when you die... It begins the moment you are made alive together with Christ. Knowing who and whose you are changes everything! It was then I began to feel a strong call toward pastoral ministry.
I returned to ASU and finished my business degree, but more importantly, met Sami on a snowboarding trip and married her on January 2, 2017. During my senior year at ASU I took a job at Honeywell to help save for seminary while also working part-time in youth ministry at my church in East Mesa. That part time job kept growing until I was the Junior High Pastor. A couple years into seminary I began serving as Junior High & High School Pastor at a church in Tempe.
I graduated from Phoenix Seminary in May of 2019 with my Master of Divinity in Interdisciplinary Studies. I love serving with New Valley. My ministry passions include preaching, equipping parents to disciple children in a digital/consumer/post-
Sami & I currently do not have any kids and we are enjoying it! We enjoy music, good coffee, reading, playing pickle ball, working out, spending time with family, and eating. Especially dessert.
