Bio - David Holman

My wife Faith and I were born and raised in Mississippi until we were 24. My wife and I both didn’t grow up in the church but soon found the church to be a place of home and family for us. I became a believer at 19 years old after being invited to a youth group. Yep, you read that correctly. I was not a youth coming to youth group, haha, but it was there that I heard the Gospel for the first time and became a Christian. Not too long after, I felt God was calling me to ministry, but I didn’t know in what way He wanted me to serve the church. I finally found my love and passion for youth ministry after serving in church administration, competitive sports leagues, church plant internships, and much more. Amid this journey, I met my awesome wife Faith in comp two class when she tried to “evangelize me.” However, I was already a believer at the time, working in ministry. She didn’t know it then, but five years later, we would be married; yep, you read that correctly, we dated for five years, and now, nine years in marriage, we have three beautiful daughters. Our oldest identical twins, who are seven years old, are Selah and Ellie, and we have a one-year-old, Avalina. It has been such a joy being a husband and father. I could go on about my family, but we love to get outdoors, spend time together, and eat good food. My hobbies are working out, watching rugby, being active, and the occasional video game. I joined the amazing staff of New Valley Church in September of 2023 as the Student Ministry Director. I graduated from Belhaven University with my B.S. in Biblical Studies and am working on my MDiv at Knox Theological Seminary. I hope and desire to continue, even after Seminary, to serve the church in youth and family. That’s enough about me; if you see me around, I would love to meet you even if you are not a student!
